Last weekend it was the BMX Elite National champs. Little bit of a bitter sweet weekend. The track wasn’t up to elite standard and was hard for us to be able to go full speed due to the track being too small. In the first race, Sarah Walker and I were going neck and neck into the first corner with my wheel just in front. Sarah ended up going over the line and cutting the corner resulting in her being relegated. This meant I took the win overall. Not the way I would like to win nationals but that’s the way racing goes sometimes.
Just recently I had the opportunity to attend an Olympic workshop. This was an awesome experience to be sitting in a room amongst other athletes all with the same goal as me, to be at the Tokyo Olympics. Our selection is at the beginning of June and I’m putting in the work and making sure every stone is not left unturned to help my chances of being selected.
